Overall, he was attentive to my needs, persistent in the search and assertive in the negotiations and closing. He is knowledgeable about the Portland market, knows the city extremely well, offers important information about specifics unique to Portland houses such as construction, codes, etc. In the purchase negotiations he was smart, decisive and masterful, and in the closing he was thoughtful and thorough. I was new to Oregon and to the city of Portland, and Tony worked patiently with me for over 8 months before finding the right house. When first meeting, he was polite, listened carefully to my thoughts and comments, and indulged me, crisscrossing the city as I waffled, uncertain which neighborhood was right for me. As we got to know each other better, he started to lead me more firmly, making more recommendations, and speaking more freely about areas and properties. When I turned my search to the Eugene area, he traveled there to follow through with the search, where we quickly found a good fit, thankfully. Although we used a different realtor for that home, Tony and Courtney made such a good impression that we kept in touch. When it was time to sell our current home, there was no question they would be our agents. From the listing discussions to staging to selling, the Apa-Clarke team was spot-on. Professional, easy to work with, and they made a stressful situation very simple and seamless. We had an out of state move, but if we were to need a realtor to buy or sell in Oregon again, Tony and Courtney would be our go-to team, no question.

Courtney is an friend from way back. Courtney helped get me a showing, walk me through the process, connect with the seller's agent to express interest in the property, get an inspection done, and negotiate an 'as-is' sale (including seller concession(s)/credit(s) for closing costs, given the 'as-is' nature of the sale, and the likelihood of needing to do a bit of work on the place). All in all, things went relatively smoothly and quickly (motivated seller [and buyer!]), and we closed within a reasonably short while after touring the place.

They literally came to our house for the first time in the middle of a remodel and within 2.5 weeks of meeting them, our house was pending.
